Review for Edencrest at The Legacy

Staff is great for the most part. Activities are targeted to older patients. Food - I cooked 98% of our meals. Most meals were similar to school like meals in with a lot of pork. Never had any fresh veggies for the omelets. Dining - the dining environment was pleasant but definitely leaned toward the long time residents. Apartment overall - roomy and well setup for us but could easily support up to 4 individuals.

Staffing shortage

The lack of staffing has been an issue for the past couple of months. My mom now is on hospice there at the facility, which does the majority of the care for her. I know all healthcare is that a shortage for workers. They do the best I can. It's a great facility, but I believe all facilities right now are suffering from lack of staff. If my mom wasn't on hospice now we would probably have to move her.

Edencrest at The Legacy

There has been a lot of turnover so I think they are working on it. But staff do not say hi to visitors and no one knows their names. The kitchen staff has been new a few times. It appears they do not plan menus taking the residence age and abilities to eat what they cook. Most things are fried and coated. I have personally eaten there and it was overcooked and cold. They have removed the salad bar so no other choice. I feel they at least need to always have fresh fruits available and yogurts. Casseroles and food

A long way to go from my families view..

Forced to take meds and put on wander guard device. The washing machines had 6 inch wide greasy ring around the top of the tub. Most staff members were friendly and pleasant but a few were a bit cold and overly forceful. Care providers were mostly decent but a few didn't understand that the patient has a right to refuse medication. Meals were very elementary school like with an over abundance of pork meals and lunch meat sandwiches. The activities were very simple but included a lot of live music which saves the ca
