PositiveA Great Place to Live; Will Need Your Advocacy
You have to constantly advocate for your loved one. And if you can stay on top of all the little things, then your loved one is given good care. The nursing staff isn't always communicative and their attitude around going the extra mile is unfriendly. However the executive Director and the head of the Care Givers are on top of their game and are more than willing to work with family to improve any needs.

Sunrise has declined since my mother-in-law went there. Both activity directors left and positions not filled so activities are very limited. Seem to have high staff turnover.

He was originally admitted to the memory care unit. He did not fit in with that population so after 30 days they were able to reevaluate and move him to the assisted living floor. The studio room in the assisted section is spacious and nice, and the report is that food on the memory care unit was not great but food in the assisted living portion is excellent.

Criticalgreat place, but need to stay on top of them
Their sales woman is a definite 5! She was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The care management and nursing staff aren't very communicative unless they need something from us. If we need something from them, they don't respond. The apartments are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the food is yummy. The cost is high and we feel a bit nickel and dimed about things.
