Here at Sunrise of Newton, residents enjoy living in the lively suburban neighborhood of Newton Corner, just 20 minutes from downtown Boston, and with underground parking available for residents and visitors. Our community is also conveniently situated within easy reach of I-90 for excursions to the culture, shopping, and dining of Cambridge and Boston. We offer residents a highly personalized approach to assisted living and memory care, delivered by our experienced team of caregivers. We have 85 suites available, serving up to 108 residents. Residents can choose a private suite or live with a spouse or friend. Every suite includes custom finishes and safety features, such as an emergency response system, giving residents the ability to call Sunrise staff 24-hours per day. Residents also enjoy the community’s shared amenities, including an expansive backyard space, theater room, and fitness space. Each day at Sunrise of Newton residents choose from a variety of vibrant activities to enrich your mind, body, and spirit. Activities often include discussions about books and current events, music and exercise classes, intergenerational programs, cooking demonstrations, and more. Outside of our community, local attractions include Jackson Homestead and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Our dining program allows our residents to experience restaurant-quality meals day after day. You can pick from a menu of healthy and delicious meals that are cooked with no added salt and selected by dietitians that our in-house chef prepares. It is a beautiful facility very new especially the fourth floor, which is brand new. There are a lot of activities for active people only a few activities for those who have mobility issues.

5 on all. However, this may not be quite the right fit for someone who has more advanced skilled nursing needs. That being said, the visiting nurse was absolutely great — so helpful, attentive, and caring throughout the stay. The food was also excellent. I think [name removed] may have even put on a few pounds during his two-week stay! Overall, we had a very positive experience and truly appreciated the kindness of the staff.

Meals and dining is a 3 but only based on my lunch on move-in day. They make a good effort to include memory care residents with asst living folks. Van outings are good-- even a trip to Legal Seafood for lunch. Room size bigger, companion suite rent is lower. Costs configured daily thus more transparency. PositiveBetween rock and a hard place with decision as to whether spouse can be at home or needs assisted living with full time aide. Tour and information very helpful and informative and person we met with knowledgeable and lovely. Cost of care so very expensive with all the help he needs and that weighs heavily on me, as well as how he would adjust/accept living apart fr me as I am still healthy and not ready for assisted living.

All the staff were well meaning and friendly. Not enough people on the memory care floor on many occasions. So waiting for meals, help with a neighbor, etc. Lots and lots of turnover at management level. Unstable oversight.
