We are very happy with our aunt's large 2-room unit at Sunrise with lots of large windows. She doesn't want to be there and often complains about the quality of the food (but she would probably complain about any place since she only wants to be "home"). Most of the staff have been very helpful and responsive to any of our concerns. However, we've had trouble with the business department and getting ACH payments to properly process. They recently transferred my mom to a new room and the move was very smooth. They have a good system in place. Prices have increased but that is everywhere I'm afraid. My mother is doing well, having been there a year now. She has made friends and it is definitely a plus that they allowed her to bring her cat with her.

Facility and staff are very nice. I do wish there was one more nurse on staff. The food is not good within the memory Care unit. And it seems that laundry is iffy. Meaning I don't know if labeled clothes are getting mixed up with another persons, but it seems like there's a little less clothes. They could do a better job of vacuuming the rooms under the beds and stuff. Also replacing toilet paper in the bathrooms. Otherwise they are really great.

Quality of care and friendliness of staff is what we like the most about the community. They really care about the tenants. They see and support each individual where they are in this phase of life and encourage growth. All of the tenants are moving about the whole home (encouraged to do so)... "it's their home".
