The staff is very nice. They want to know what his interests are so he can participate. They have allowed him to speak, took him out for a trip to the store. They switched out his monitor to one that vibrates because of his sight. He has the same caregivers which allows them to get know each other. It has been a positive experience.

The quality of care really depends on which caregiver you get-some of them are truly great and go above and beyond. Those caregivers made a big difference. That said, there were some real downsides. The biggest issue by far was the food. It wasn't just us-pretty much everyone in the building complained about it. We talked to the director at least twice, but nothing ever changed. There was always some kind of excuse. Even residents who were fully aware and vocal about it got nowhere, and the staff wouldn't even eat…

My mom is no longer there...she left last September as she required more care. I think the facility needs more help and during the time of my mom's stay they were experiencing problems with their cooks. The food was a miss at times but we understand they were in several months of inconsistent kitchen staff.
