For memory care residents, Life Care Services’ proprietary memory care program offers a person-centered approach that focuses on each individual’s interests and abilities to make each day better than the last. In the dining room, enjoy chef-inspired dishes in a restaurant-style atmosphere. The Delaney’s special dining programs allow residents to enjoy dining their way. After great meals, there’s lots to choose from for leisure and entertainment. Test your craftsmanship in the workshop, tend plants at raised garden beds, or participate in a fun activity. The Delaney’s medley of classes and social events — from wine tastings to barbecues — instills the engaging environment found throughout the community. Living Arrangements At The Delaney, studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments come in a variety of floor plans to suit diverse space and style needs. Units can come with emergency call systems, full kitchens, and private balconies. State Classification The Delaney at Parkway Lakes is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents. I have been here for about 2 years and I am very comfortable. The Delaney is a very neat, clean and organized, and the staff makes me feel home. There are some improvements that need to be worked out but nothing major. Management is very good at what they do and I love how engaged they are with us. I plan to live here for many more years. PositiveWarm and fun place to live
I’ve lived here for about 7 months and I love it very much. The staff and residents are wonderful. I really like the activities they offer. The Delaney is a place I can call home. I invite anyone looking for a nice place to come and take a look. Talk to any residents that live here and they will tell you the same thing. I just love it here

Friendly atmosphere, clean pleasant surrounding, the food is great and bunch of activities that my husband and I enjoy, especially music and fun. My husband really enjoys living here because he has made a lot of friends and I’m so happy we made this our new home. The staff is very friendly and treats us with respect and dignity. We have not been disappointed. We love it here.

PositiveOverall a nice community
When we moved my parents in, we were not told about the upcoming major construction that was needed. They moved in last October, and the construction is still going on. Despite the fact that all of this is going on, the overall experience has been good. My parents don't complain too much about anything else. They say that the food is good. In fact the both have even put on a bit of extra weight. The staff seems pretty attentive as far as I can tell from the outside.
