About The Maples at Stoneleigh

Maples at Stoneleigh is the newest memory care facility in the Towson area! This mansion was built in 1924 and was used as a nursing home for several years. The building was completely renovated in December 2019. Our facility is managed by Blair House Senior Living at Stoneleigh, LLCand we are proud to be an assisted living company dedicated to providing outstanding care to seniors, especially to those with memory care. Our Executive Director is a Registered Nurse, and our Resident Care Director has been specially trained and has extensive experience in dementia programing. Our care staff are all trained in accordance with Teepa Snow's dementia care program.

Excellent and compassionate care of my husband

My husband was diagnosed with dementia in 2022, and moved to the Maples in [date removed]. It was a hard decision but it turned out to be the right one. He had a comfortable room and bath, and was able to have more freedom of movement than at home. The atmosphere was warm and homey and he quickly became reasonably content. I valued the small homelike atmosphere. The staff had very low turnover which enabled my husband to develop a trusting relationship with those who cared for him. I lived close enough to visit eve

Excellent professional care and service at the Maples

The Maples of Stoneleigh is a very clean and well run facility. They are open and attentive to the needs of my sister, who resides there. The communication with the facility is fluid and as often as needed. Whether it be an update or a health issue, the staff directed by executive director [name removed] or director [name removed] are consistently on top of things. I am quite satisfied and pleased with the care my sister is receiving at the Maples of Stoneleigh. [name removed]

New ownership

It’s too bad that the negative review remains. The Maples (f/k/a Blair House) is under new management, and the services and care are vastly improved. I moved my mom out of Blair House in 2020 and in fall of 2021 moved her back because of the changes. Highly recommend the Maples at Stoneleigh for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Critical

Not Safe

Medication errors can be fatal. Blair House is not safe. There are staff who ignore incontinent residents who need help toileting and staff say, "I don't care; that's not my resident." Rooms are not sanitized when a Resident moves out and another Resident is moved into the vacated room. There is no dedicated cleaning crew. There is no dedicated kitchen staff. All employees are expected to do all jobs. But, they do not. Employees with no training as care aides are made to take Residents to the bathroom and clean
