The apartment sizes are quite large. I don't think the facility is adequately staffed foe the size and layout. The ratio of staff to residents is troubling especially after 5 when the administrative staff leaves. I was there after 6 one evening. There was 1 person who told me she really wasn't in charge, didn't have the key to the laundry so a resident was told she would have to sleep in her clothes because the laundry was closed and couldn't be opened til the next morning. I would rate Eden Green 5 stars! My mother moved from a facility in PA to Eden Green while in late stage dementia and age 96. My family was so happy with her beautiful room, view of trees, and the attention she received at Eden Green. Everyone who works there takes an interest in the residents and their well being. There were many activities, and someone was always sure to try to include my mom the best they could. The communication was great for us ,and we always felt comfortable visiting. They have sufficient and motivated staff, good activities and are very proactive with activities. The place is VERY clean, the residents seem very content and happy to be there, plus the food is pretty good.

I would say the rooms, grounds, and dining rooms are lovely. But the level of care provided is not an appropriate place for someone with mobility and cognitive issues. The ratio of staff to residents, especially after 5 pm is no where adequate.

They aren't able to handle patients with dementia. My mother has dementia and she only was able to stay there a month before they asked her to leave due to her calling out because she couldn't use the call bell properly. They have been short staff quite a few times when I was there and would not answer the call bell even after twenty minutes of waiting. The facility is always clean and smells good. The staff is always friendly and helpful when asked. It seems at times understaffed but could be the time of year with sickness and bad weather. After 2 months overall satisfied. The activities are wonderful A++ for that department.
