About the community
The Residence at Village Greens is the newest Senior Living Community in Berks County. We opened our doors in September of 2024. We offer Independent Living, Personal Care & Memory Care on the same campus. Located on the grounds of the past Village Greens Golf Course, a well-known 18 hole executive golf course built in 1969 located in Sinking Spring, PA. The tradition of being a place to gather with friends and family continues at our new senior living community where large, light-filled gathering spaces indoors and out are available for events and celebrations. Our outdoor putting green and indoor golf simulator keeps the spirit of the golf course alive for all living at Village Greens to enjoy. Theater, game rooms, sun-rooms, salons, & other common area are all easily accessible. Beautiful walking trails around community offer glimpses of wildlife and foliage. Close to great shopping, physicians, & hospitals makes us a great choice.

CriticalThe facility basically tells you what you want to hear during the interview process and talks about how focused & dedicated they are towards resident care and well-being. But after you move in, it isn't really that way. We've been having some major problems and I will be reporting the facility to the State and to the Berks County area agency on aging.
Response from the communityWe apologize that you feel this way and would be more than happy to hear and address your concerns as we are always available. We put resident care at the forefront and would be more than willing to assist you. Please give us a call at 484-709-2561 so we are able to address your concerns as we do pride ourselves in caring for our residents and ensuring proper resident care.

CriticalIf they tell you they have a doctor onsite and a pharmacy. They don't. Doctor and pharmacy are in Virginia. It's a terrible system for medical care. Most of the staff can not administer any kind of medical care. If you're looking for that do not put a loved one here. Facility is new and modern but care is atrocious.
Response from the communityThank you for your response. We do have a physician who provides oversight to our residents if they choose, or you may choose to work with your own physician. Our physician is onsite weekly and can be contacted 24/7 for any additional needs. We are not a skilled care community, so if there is any skilled need we work with our partners to provide additional services to our residents. We do have LPNs and med techs who can provide medical care but there are limitations within Personal Care on what medical care can be provided. We apologize for any misunderstanding you have surrounding Personal Care vs Skilled Care and welcome you to contact us if you have any further questions on what care we are able to provide.

PositiveClean, roomy, bright apartments. Great meals with great variety. Helpful happy staff. Lots of activities available (mom doesn't participate by choice) wide halls with high ceilings & lots of non-institutional light.

★★★★★
PositiveThe staff are kind for the most part. Facilities are immaculate and they create a schedule of activities to keep folks busy should they choose. My experience is with the studio apartment. It is adequately sized for one person. (My 30something son has a similar sized studio. I wonder about the quality of construction as a host of things have needed repair or have been easily damaged. They (eventually) seem to fix these things, but being a new building, it is surprising how many issues there have been, not only for m…
