my experience, friendly staff overall would recommend

Overall experience would be five stars. I gave a five because every person here is very nice. The people here I enjoy. They're all very pleasant, they say good morning even when they didn't even know me and they still don't know me, but they know me by my dog. The staff is very good and take care of any issues I have in a timely manner. Activities I haven't done too many of those yet because I'm still trying to unpack my boxes. The best choice for our Mother

I feel our mother is receiving the best care possible. I also feel that she is in the safest environment she can be in. She isn't 100% happy about being there but she wouldn't be receiving the care and attention she needs now at home. A number of times she has told me how the care givers are her "Angels". She lived independently on her own terms for as long as possible, but after a series of health issues, she now needs help with everything. Truewood has the professional staff helping her 24/7 which gives us peace …

Very costly for our family

The caregivers are really nice. But every time we went to see our mom, her room was dirty. Her bed was dirty. Her level of care was changed and therefore her cost to live there went up. Nothing was explained to us that she was going to be charged an astronomical amount to stay there. Where we could have found somewhere else for her to go before she got too far in debt. Now they are going to put a lien on her home til everything is paid in full. My advice. Don't get caught up in something that you may not be able…

The girl giving the tour hadn’t been there long and couldn’t answer many of our questions. Was ok, since we are still very early in the looking process. We did find a unit that would great for parents and Tyler has been able to answer all our questions.

Truewood by Merrill New Bern

The only complaint we had was that at the beginning they weren't up front about the costs and fees. Our first payment was[Amount Removed]and that was all out of pocket. We wish they would've prepared us better for the fees because it's all out of pocket. We knew what it would be monthly and were prepared for that but the fees were debilitating. Truewood

We had some issues with my father in the beginning, he didn't want to be there, he wanted to go home to Pennsylvania but we got him involved with some activities so that he would meet people and so things are much better, bingo and happy hour are his favorites
