What I like the most about the community is Being taken to "medical" appointments instead of driving myself. Playing Spades, Bingo, Bunco off and on. "Lunch Bunch"- they take you to local restaurants for Dutch Treat lunch once a month. Chair exercise. Vitality has its good and bad points.

We've had a really rough time since the second day. My dad is in the hospital for the 5th time. My mom has been in the hospital with flu and pneumonia for a week as well. This is not the facility's fault I'm sure it's due to being placed in a large community of people. Everyone is very nice and helpful. We've had some miscommunications a few times but we are working those out. I'm used to private one on one care for them so this has been a huge change for all of us. The staff was very kind, but I felt they were short staffed and unable to watch my father in law as closely as he needed to be watched. He fell numerous times and ended up hurting himself.

PositiveMy Thoughts About Vitality Court in Victoria.
It is not perfect. The dining room is slow. They desperately need more maintenance personnel. Depending on your walking ability, some rooms are extremely far from the elevator if you live upstairs. The building needs two elevators. The Resident Assistants are nice and normally helpful. Housekeeping is okay. For our apartment but wish they could do a little more at times. For us, we like the location for where we like to go and for my driving.

The facilities are always immaculate, clean, A-1 superb operation inside and out, the place is an inviting presence. I am so glad that my mother found such a great place to be during her final decade of living .
