About the community
Nestled into picturesque Ferullo Field, the stately Windrose at Woburn will welcome your loved one with open arms. We are an assisted living community dedicated to memory care, utilizing a thoughtfully developed program to suit your loved one’s specific needs. We care for the whole person at Windrose at Woburn, instead of focusing solely on symptoms. Our ThriveCare program helps set the rhythm for the day, and helps residents feel secure in their routines. If you have a long-term care policy, we encourage you to see if memory care services are included in your plan. Veterans may be eligible for the Aid & Attendance benefit. Community Amenities and Services Our ThriveCare program incorporates Behavior Based Ergonomic Therapies (BBET). We are one of only two locations in the New England area to incorporate this groundbreaking program that combines the use of music, video, stimulation, and memory prop therapy. Each individual is given a unique therapy process, customized to reflect their personal interests. Our entire staff is also trained in techniques for responding to symptoms of Alzheimer’s and related disorders. All residents benefit from our advanced communications techniques — when someone has memory loss, how you say something is just as important as what you say. We have slow, comforting waking routines, stimulating programs throughout the day (our Kitchen Memories cooking program is a community favorite!), and a relaxing movie or a book read aloud before bedtime. Our community spaces are ideal for your loved one to interact with their friends and family, and we encourage family participation in care programs. We have dementia-trained nursing staff on-site, as well as community education and support groups. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapies for those who need it. Should your loved one require a higher level of care, extended nursing care and a hospice care physician are available. We also offer respite care for loved ones, ideal for caregivers who would like a break from their duties. Living Arrangements Private and companion suites are available, and those with a private suite can choose whether they would like a full or half bath. These cozy spaces at Windrose at Woburn are a wonderful place to relax at the end of the day. CriticalWindrose is a nice and small residence with caring people and for that I am thankful. As with any business I do think there is room for improvement. Activities: There are so many good activities for dementia/Alzheimer’s/elderly people these days but I have mostly seen puzzles and watching tv at Windrose. Exercise: My mom has lost 7 lbs since she’s been there and her Dr thinks it’s because she isn’t as active. While I understand the aging process and that seniors slow down, I do think moving more would be good. F…

PositiveMy mother is thriving at Windrose at Woburn!!! Each and every member of the staff are friendly, responsive, pro active, caring and go above and beyond for their residents. The quality of care is excellent! The best example is that my mother was on hospice, frail, not eating and given 3-6 months to live when she arrived in May. I received a call from hospice a week ago to let me know that she was eating and active and gained 10 lbs. She no longer needed to be on hospice. She is thriving and it is a testament to the…
