ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch welcomes seniors to a warm resort-like memory care community nestled in a residential area. Surrounded by lively greenery, the community is located in the suburban area of Chula Vista, California, which is southeast of San Diego and is within minutes of the local hospital. Since 2013, ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch has been offering specialized care with cozy living accommodations. Trained caregivers and on-site licensed nursing staff provide round-the-clock memory care and supervision. These caregivers undergo continuous educational programs to stay up to date on current memory care practices. While all receive equal care, residents are separated according to their current stage of Alzheimer’s disease or other type of dementia — these can range from beginning stages to end of life stages, including hospice care. In the community’s five neighborhoods are private and semi-private bedroom options. While living at ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch, residents have access to homey amenities and an activity program. Throughout the community are beautiful murals in themed common rooms. While relaxing in the common areas, residents can participate in a wide range of daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, movie nights, trivia, exercise, walker’s club, bingo, and more. Loved the 24/7 LVN presence and the facility seemed well-equipped to handle any contingency. The caregivers are very friendly and empathetic with all of the residents, you can see them many times, hugging them, smiling at them and talking to them.
