CriticalYou will be hard-pressed to get anybody to answer phone calls. Our visiting hospice nurse walked around for 20 minutes trying to find any employee to sign off on her visit. Facility is kind of small and cramped. Found roaches in his room. Laundry goes missing. The rooms do not have individual heat or a/c. Had to buy a portable a/c because his room was 92° in the summer. Staff was generally inattentive and my father kept getting injured. No injuries after moving out. We were charged for medications for 2 months afte…

CriticalOverall experience (2): We selected this facility because of its convenient location in a pleasant, walkable area close to my home. Unfortunately, the positive aspects ended there. The facility appeared to be significantly understaffed, which impacted the availability and consistency of care. Based on our experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this facility to others. Cleanliness of the facility (4): The common areas and grounds were kept clean. Friendliness (3): I was concerned about the interacti…

PositiveThe room size for one person is great. They do have quite a bit of staff changes. I'm not sure about activities as my brother doesn't participate. I know they have a church group come on Saturday to sing and preach Food is ok for the most part ,there again my brother is picky and doesn't eat a lot and at this time his dementia has worsened and he is bed ridden for the most part From what I have seen the food is average for a hospital/ assisted living facility. I have eaten with my brother at times and what they s…

CriticalBethel Gardens is poorly staff, no security at the front or rear of the facility...All doors are open with no security at the front desk. The staff is unhappy because they're under paid and performing more than one job. The facility is crawling with roaches and no one in the administrative office care. Reports have been reported to the Community Health Department. The rooms are not cleaned and lack maintenance repairs. The food is awful, cold and leftover beans and hot dogs or pizza. No maintenance on call or weeke…

PositiveI admitted my father due to dementia issues and I have found the right facility for him. The first time I met the General Manager I was impressed. [name removed] was professional and so friendly. She made everything so eazy and comforting for me. She gave me a tour of the facility and introduced me to the staff. I was sold on her presentation about the facility and the cost. After visiting Bethel Gardens, l didn't look any further. My mind was made up. I felt assured that my dad would be taken care of...Overall, th…

CriticalThey don't have enough staff. My sister has to beg for a shower. Her emergency button has never worked. The place is not cleaned regularly and the urine smell is apparent. Visible roaches. When we complain they get better for a day. Oh and the flooring is coming apart and can be a fall hazard and it's been this way since [date removed].
