Located next to Water House Creek with easy access to Sunset Highway 26, the community is also conveniently close to Portland, which is known for its thriving art, coffee, and food truck scenes. Brookdale Beaverton is a personalized memory care community that serves families in Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Cedar Mills West and other surrounding towns and neighborhoods. There are two tailored dementia programs offered here — the Clare Bridge and Solace programs. The Clare Bridge program is an exclusive brand of dementia care that provides structure and stimulation through activities like gardening, dancing, mental workouts, and more. The Solace program compliments the Clare Bridge program, and provides grooming assistance as well as sensory activities using music and aromatherapy. Families find comfort knowing residents’ safety is prioritized here. Dementia-trained team members are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency, and an alert system and keypad entries are also in place to offer added protection. The community includes easy-to-navigate common areas and soothing wall colors, and is located on a single floor-level to provide easy mobility. Here, attentive staff members also manage chores like meal preparation, laundry, and other daily housekeeping tasks. If you need assistance with things like medication management, bathing, grooming, dressing, or transportation, all of your needs can be met under one roof. Additional on-site conveniences include the snack shop, postal services, and a beauty/barber shop. WIth more services and less chores, you or your loved one can find relief each day. The community also includes a specialized dining program called reFresh — residents are given a scented, moistened cloth with essential oils, and can receive assistance with dining as needed. Dementia-friendly menus are also provided, and residents eat in a small dining room with consistent seating, to promote familiarity. Community Services and Amenities After an exciting day of activities, residents can take advantage of the community’s many amenities, including a well-stocked library, a cozy fireside living room, and a gorgeous garden and courtyard. Plus, if you need assistance obtaining your personal items, Brookdale’s team members can deliver them privately to your front door. Let the staff know if you need shampoo, hearing batteries, or other similar items, and they’ll be delivered discreetly. Best of all, you won’t be charged extra for this service! PositiveBrookdale is a great place and my mom really feels at home there! Many of the staff have worked at Brookdale for a long time. They don't seem to have much turnover. The executive director is very compassionate and competent. The care staff even send me pictures if my mom doing activities throughout the week. My mom has complained about the food at other facilities, but she likes the food at Brookdale. I highly recommend this facility.

PositiveNear the end of Dad's life and he was in hospice, they changed us extra for moving him in his bed to prevent bed sores. I confronted them on that, and got huge pushback from the nursing administrator. However, she could not provide when they rotated dad so there was no proof that they did it. Didn't eat the food so can't rate Dad didn't participate in activities, so I don't know. I do kno…
