CriticalThe laundry situation is in need of reform. Many items of clothing and bedding have disappeared. I have brought this up with supervising staff more than once. I do most of his laundry at home. The staff varies a lot . There are some very caring excellent people and some who don't have the personality or temperament for this type of caretaking. The facility is nice and kept clean and inviting . The supervising staff are good listeners and welcome feedback.

CriticalThey were always short staffed, especially on weekends. Activities seemed to be appropriate. My Dad didn't participate in many activities due to the fact he needed a wheelchair to get around. Unless my sister or myself were there, he didn't get a lot of help moving around. Bottom line my Dad's needs were greater than they could provide, although they assured us they could.
Response from the communityThank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Your feedback will be shared with management.

CriticalBrookdale has trouble keeping staff and following through on issues, like maintenance. The food was hit or miss. A lot of the residents are headed to memory care and some should be there already. I would tell others looking to make sure and ask a lot of questions and make sure you're comfortable with the answers.
Response from the communityThank you for choosing Brookdale and taking the time to share your feedback. We would welcome an opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have and encourage you to contact our management team.
