Before you move in, Brookdale’s compassionate team members work with you to create a care plan that best matches your individual needs. Whether you are seeking rehabilitative services, or assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, or medication management, Brookdale Lakeway's team can help. Rest assured, Brookdale’s care team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency situation. Emergency response systems are located in each apartment, and a 24-hour security system is used as an additional precaution. At Brookdale Lakeway, you can trade in your responsibilities for nutritious homemade meals, transportation services, and housekeeping assistance, as well as access to the community spa, the game room, a concierge service, and more. Some additional on-site perks include postal services, a therapy room, a library, and a beauty/barber shop. Community Services and Amenities Residents here can look forward to tailored activities that match their personal likes and abilities. Many residents in assisted living often participate in yoga classes, movie nights, and a variety of community clubs, like the bridge club. Living Arrangements Residents can choose from a grand selection of 14 floor plans to find their perfect match. Choose from a 380 sq. ft. studio or a spacious 915 sq. ft. two-bedroom apartment, depending on your needs and preferences. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
