our families experience, has room for improvements, would not recommend

This company charges all a cart. And if you don't use their pharmacy, you also get charged. Honestly, Brookdale was the worst experience ever. They did not have the staff to care for their residence. They were constantly losing my LO's clothes. I kept having to buy clothes for him. It finally came down to where I asked them not to touch his laundry. It was not great. Smells like pee. High pressure from them to sign in 2 days. I was just doing some research not ready to make a decision yet. The room I was shown was sad and depressing. I prefer not to be contacted.

Special Day

I'd like to thank the staff and management of Brookdale for facilitating a special lunch for a group of guys that have spent a lot of time together riding motorcycles. One of those guys is a resident of Brookdale and observing their attentiveness to the residents gives us confidence that he is definitely in the right place for his care. Once again, thank you. You gave us a good day.

[name removed] was so very helpful. The facility was beautiful. I liked Brookdale very much. After arriving here to have eyes on dad I am in a difficult situation. Dad is not at 101 ready to relinquish any authority to me to make any decisions for him. I have to agree he is borderline in need of a facility. With that said I would choose Brookdale with no hesitations.

Such friendly staff

My mom is very hesitant to come out of her room for meals and activities. They do a great job of encouraging her and trying to get her to go to things. All staff are extremely nice.

Overall would recommend

Our family has done this type of hunting for a quality facility for family members a lot, toured many establishments. They all offer very similar care, it really boils down to the staff. Brookdale Troutdale is by far at the top of the list. As long term providers they make it a point to know all the residents by name, things they enjoy, and overall are very active with the residents.
