Lucky to be at Emerald Place

My friend has been at Emerald Place since 2018 and I can honestly say she was lucky to be a resident. The people are kind, caring, attentive and patient. Communication is excellent. There are activities galore. Special holiday parties. It's just a very special facility!

Clean facility, friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this facility, the clients are kept busy and seem happy.

Be Present!

Remind the employees to TELL the patient's what they will do Before doing it. Remind the employees to slow down especially when changing patient's clothes. Tell employees to wear name tags. Emerald Place is better than most and always find out which employee is assigned to the patient. Make yourself known to the employees and management!! Don't be afraid to ask.

Emerald Place

Don't be fooled by the fancy building. Lower level staff were on phones instead of caring for patients. Like a ghost town. I observed one staff member insisting that one resident apologize to another, as if they were trying to teach her a lesson. On another occasion, I asked about a posted activity for residents and the staff looked at me blankly. Food was terrible. It makes such an impact on the residents and the families. We would 100% absolutely recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.
