My father resided at Encore Mahtomedi until he passed away. The staff treated him like family. They actually truly cared for him. My mother in law recently needed memory care and of course she is now at Encore Mahtomedi. She actually really likes being there even though she initially said she did not want to go. Already have recommended them to others. I would also highly recommend Intrepid Hospice who were with my loved one for nearly four years and treated her while she was at Encore. Already have recommended them to others. Care staff was very good to my mother and always checked on her regularly because she preferred to stay in her room. Breakfast always better than dinner.

In my dad's 9 years with dementia he was at 3 other facilities. Encore at Mahtomedi became a home. They became family. They treated my dad with love and respect until his last breath. [name removed]the director is beyond amazing and went out of her way to keep us informed of dad's daily activities. She would even email and text me photos she took throughout the day. My dad passed last week and they cried along with me at his passing. They truly care about their patients.

I removed my mom after thirty days after several med errors, poor staffing, incompetent nurse and staff education, activity director rude and not competent with patients like my mom, one pca was verbally abrupt. My mom was a lot to handle but they seemed incapable. Even the physician who covered the place said the care especially around a meds was unacceptable. I should have reported them to the state .Unless the nurse and activity director have been replaced I would definitely NOT recommend. I saw many other care …
