For seniors that might have needs outside the home, transportation arrangements will be arranged. Estia Care provides three nutritious meals daily with snacks between meals. Seniors will find plenty to do with many on-site amenities available. Residents can enjoy fresh air and outdoor time in the enclosed outdoor common area and patio. Inside, seniors can participate in daily activities like art classes, picnics, holiday parties and more. Seniors can also participate in devotional services on site. Living Arrangements Seniors that would prefer more personal space will have access to private rooms. For those who like to stay more social, semi-private rooms are also available. Rooms are equipped with wheelchair accessible showers and bathtubs. There are ground floor suites available for those with extra mobility needs. Cable and Wi-Fi is readily available in all rooms. State Classification Estia Care LLC is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents. My 87 year old mother lived at Estia Personal Care Home and I could not be happier that my loved one spent the end of her life at Estia PCH. I wanted to find a small Alzheimer's facility more like a home for my mother. Estia Care fit my criteria. It is in a lovely, very clean home with 9 residents. All of the residents seem to be happy and very well fed. They all feel like Estia Care is their home. [removed] took a $1,000 check from me on Sat., Feb 11, 2017 as deposit on a bed for my Mother in a semi-private room to be available on March 1, 2017. By Wednesday, the 15th, I had reason to decide Not to put my Mother at Estia Care, and requested that all or even a portion of the 'non-refundable Community Fee' be returned.
