Overall, our experience has been disappointing. We recognize that staffing challenges exist across many senior living communities, but we had hoped for a higher level of consistency in the care being provided. It's not exactly as it seemed when we toured. I feel like they are experiencing some staff issues. There are some wonderful staff members and some not so great ones. The apartment size is good. Rooms are spacious and kept very clean. Mom seems to enjoy the food so no complaints there.

I have arranged for a private caregiver during the weekdays, which has helped tremendously. Without that additional support, my rating would be much lower. The caregiver often assists with keeping the room clean, changing linens, and helping with laundry, as there does not seem to be consistent housekeeping provided by the facility. Story Point is wonderful! The staff is great-- caring, hard working, lots of activity for the memory care unit. Please recommend it to folks!! The only reason we moved to [community removed] was that they raised our monthly rate $[removed] which was not in accordance with our contract, which allowed a 13% increase yearly. That should have been no more than $[removed].

CriticalExperience does not live up to the hype.
My mom gave it a year and the service and maintenance gradually got worse. The 4 year old property has structural issues which include mold. It takes an hour in the dining room to be served. The food is mediocre though occasionally they hit a home run. Housekeeping is not interested in keeping house, and they're having extreme difficulty keeping staff in every department. From [removed dates], they have had three executive directors. StoryPoint Cordova is a mess.
