CriticalOur experience so far
They got a 3 overall due to nursing, housekeeping and billing issues. Care got a 3 due to improper handling of meds, incomplete orientation- didn't know about outside provider forms; poor communication of medication process. There are really no activities geared towards men except for happy hour. They should try trivia night/sports trivia. This is our first experience with Assisted Living and we are still learning.

PositiveA Great Choice for Dad.
It's not any particular one reason, but a variety of reasons. My dad is in memory care, and although he has all the idiosyncrasies of a dementia patient, his physical health has improved since he has moved into Harmony. His room is clean, his clothes are clean, and I can see he is self motivated to eat the meals being served. Also, while visiting, a staff member came in to check and change his adult briefs. Upper staff is attentive. Staff are kind My mother doesn't participate in them. Food is good and the wait staff want to please We've had roaches and have to wait for them to spray. Most importantly the clinic does not give my mother her medication that was prescribed by her neurologist. We did everything they requested and still after a week still will not give her medication. This is disturbing at the least. The clinic and the pharmacy are not doing their job. We had the same run around with her pain meds. Up…

PositiveOur experience
The reasons for the 4. We had a program with her laundry being done. Several times in I had to take the laundry home myself. Also, I took 2 blankets there for her bed, but one blanket (a brand new one) disappeared. I complained but it was never returned. Overall care was decent but one time I found my mother covered in her own urine. This was upsetting and unacceptable.

PositiveI enjoyed my visit to Harmony house. The outside of the building is attractive as well as the inside. The furnishings and decor in the common rooms are inviting. The floorplan seemed very generous. Activities are posted. I think one would find a sense of community with the 150 so residents.
