About Ignite Medical Resort of Katy

This state-of-the-art community is specially designed to offer a vibrant atmosphere for comprehensive retirement care. Ignite Medical Resort of Katy strives to provide the right level of care for each resident to help ensure needs are met every step of the way. From short-term care to long-term stay, they provide several options within the community to help make the decision as easy as possible. The community does its best to foster a safe and efficient environment, so residents can feel as comfortable as they would at home. The community is conveniently located near the Memorial Hermann hospital to help eliminate worries for residents and their loved ones by maximizing the services provided on-site. Ignite Medical Resort of Katy has partnered with the hospital to bring high-quality medical practices and specialists to the community to help ensure proper care. Community Details Aging often comes with an increased need for assistance, and when staying home becomes too difficult, the community is happy to welcome residents to a new home. The assisted living lifestyle is ideal for residents looking to remain independent in some ways, but still require some support. The compassionate caregivers are committed to keeping residents happy and comfortable by building and maintaining strong relationships. They are happy to assist residents with daily living activities, medication management, and other needs they may have. In-house therapists are also available to provide speech, physical, and occupational therapy services when required. For residents who require short-term accommodations for recovery, the rehabilitation center is the perfect path for a healing journey. The staff is happy to offer specialized care services — including orthopedic care, post-stroke rehabilitation, pre- and post-operative care, post-cardiac restorative care, diabetes management, pulmonary care, wound care, and IV therapy. Furthermore, for residents who require complex medical care, the high acuity community offers complex respiratory, medical, wound care, and renal management. They offer several spaces, such as a large outdoor therapy courtyard and a spacious rehabilitation gym, that promote a healing recovery for residents. All of the residents can help themselves to the variety of amenities. The community offers restaurant-style dining, a coffee bistro, and beauty salon/barbershop services. Housekeeping and laundry are taken care of, so residents can spend time enjoying the activities offered. Residents are encouraged to spend time together relaxing in the shared living areas or walking in the beautiful courtyard. The spacious courtyard offers raised gardening beds, so residents with green thumbs can plant and tend to their favorite flowers. Additionally, residents can choose to participate in the regularly scheduled recreation and fitness programs to stay active and engaged within the community! Living Arrangements VibraLife of Katy currently offers spacious suites with private bathrooms and kitchenettes for individuals residing in the assisted living communities. Relief of Stress

I felt the care was genuine and it took the stress off of me to interview the potential facility. I would recommend to others.

Would recommend, better than most, a little room for improvement

They could improve feedback to families. Set goals and share that with patients and families. Follow meal plans.

Overall DISAPPOINTING

Location is very clean, but the Manager is overwhelmed due to lack of support from corporate. The majority of the staff members hired are only there for paycheck. No empathy for the residents and not enough staff members on duty at night. Residents who need assistance are left waiting for hours for help due to shortage of employees. There are only a VERY FEW GREAT STAFF members working there who expressed leaving due to the work environment of others not doing their work. Also HIGHLY recommend to put a camera in th

Overall OK but improvements needed

I picked this community because, of pricing and proximity to the hospital. The food was always on time and good, per my loved one. Activities Director does the same thing each week. Bingo. Never saw them use the movie room, movie room seating isn't even comfortable for the elderly. I'd add music from the era's that most are from, have an old movie, soda shop, more art activities, scavenger hunts, brain games etc. put a piano in there for a resident who plays. There office needs a printer that works. We never receiv

Sometimes okay, other times a pure nightmare

They are understaffed. They promise you that you'll be well taken care of but it rarely happened. There was neglect. They'd ignore the residents requests. They'd pass the blame to other staff members instead of adequately handling issues themselves. It felt like being in The Stepford Wives movie, they'd say the right thing in a mechanical type way but their actions were different. The activities for the residents were pleasant. They could decorate the place very well. But overall, just a very bizarre experience.
