PositiveWe toured Jersey Ridge Place during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. This facility was small, clean, and intimate. However, they were full and did not have any availability at the time we needed it.

We had our mother at this facility for about 4 years. While the first couple of years were great this was probably because she was ambulatory and able to get around on her own. Once she required more help with showers and dressing the quality of care deteriorated. The cleaning declined. While I understand that they were only providing "light cleaning" we found the dust under her bed and throughout her apartment. The attention to her needs also declined. Not really impressed with 2/3 of directors . The food leaves much to be desired.While it has improved with new kitchen director. Since his arrival a number of options are now available. I still find it hard to believe she hat menus are reviewed and/or designed by a Registered Dietitian. Our loved ones has been at Jersey Ridge for little over a year. We also chose this place because of the aid to resident ratio. We felt that there was a better chance of care in a smaller facility. For the most part that is true. Our biggest complaint is the MEALS! In looking over the menus and the meals themselves it is hard fore to believe that they work with a registered dietician!
