PositivePavilion at Great Hills
It's mostly for independent living at least in my moms section. There's not a lot of extra care. Location is great.

About the community
The Pavilion at Great Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care community has a little something for everyone. Located in beautiful North Austin hill country, we are near three major hospitals, numerous shopping centers including two miles from the Arboretum, theaters, museums, great restaurants, and Lake Travis. Inside our community, you'll find spacious common areas with several beautiful living areas with stone fireplaces, a chapel, a billiards room, a spa room, salon, exercise room, arts and crafts room, theater area with large curved TV, library, private dining room, and large main dining room. Residents also enjoy walking through our two landscaped courtyards in assisted living or our secure courtyard in memory care. We offer anytime, restaurant-style dining, Resident Council, Food Committee, as well as a full schedule of planned activities, and many special interest resident group opportunities. Our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents and residents' families rest easy knowing we have 24 hour care staff 7 days a week and nursing 7 days a week during normal business hours with nurses on call 24/7. Prior to moving in we speak with you and your physician to find just the right level of assistance that will allow you to enjoy your independence to the fullest. We prefer to focus on what you can do, and not on what you can't do. Our mission is to provide a lifestyle that fosters independence, actively engages the mind, invigorates the body and nurtures the spirit, while offering you and your loved ones the peace of mind you deserve. While some communities insist on new residents putting down huge, non-refundable payments up-front, we like to do things a little differently. We care about not only the physical and emotional well being of our residents, but their financial health as well. That's why we offer our residents all the perks of country club living without the expensive buy-in—just a simple, month-to-month lease. PositiveThe administrative staff was informative, knowledgeable and kind. The staff in the Valeo Unit were helpful, compassionate, welcoming and took us all in as family. Everyone made sure my husband was taken care of and treated with respect. They showed the same concern and kindness to our entire family. The facility itself is lovely and homey.

CriticalStaff are sweet, but are hard to find. Very slow to respond to calls from the pendant. Often ignore the resident trying to talk to them. Staff had to be reminded and care level increased to ensure he got meals each day. Cleanliness is the worst. He fell and hit his head. Blood everywhere. 8 hours later he was discharged from the hospital and the blood was still all over. Cameras showed housekeeping come in, look at it and never touch it. Light bulbs burnt out constantly, swapped the broken microwave for another bro…

PositiveIt's a very nice facility. It's very large and there is maybe not as much personalized attention but overall we like it a lot. Her apartment is very spacious and nice. I love the location. It's very close to where I live.

PositiveAll 5s are hard to come by in this industry, but we have been pleased with the staff, their understanding and eagerness to help. Overall genuinely nice people who do care for their residents. Food and activities are good. We do not have any real complaints and when we do have issues, the staff is more than open and concerned about hearing us and working to resolve them We have no regrets whatsoever about placing our loved ones at Pavilion

PositiveIt's a 4. Would be a 5 but they appear to be understaffed and the common area carpeting needs cleaning to remove spills and spots and overall dinginess. Very nice mgmt however. Quick to respond. Yes, I would recommend the community to other families.
