A new place for mom

After ten years, my mom recently moved into Sellwood from another independent/assisted living community. She needed a step up in care and a more affordable place. She likes Sellwood even more than her previous community. It is a little smaller and her care is more personalized. She loves the daily activities and even likes the food, which has always been an issue for her. It’s well-run, they go the extra mile, and communication is excellent.

greatful for the compassionate care!

My mom has been at SSL for 3.5 yrs. The first person we met when interviewing facilities was [name removed], we knew right away after meeting her and touring the grounds and the rooms This was going to be a great fit! The care., patience , and compassion for my mother and our entire family has exceeded our expectations, and we can’t feel more blessed , and thankful to the entire staff! Review for Sellwood Senior Living

The facility is very clean and pleasant and in a very nice neighborhood. My husband says the food is "pretty good". The staff is very caring and attentive.

I toured this facility. It was very clean, but not as updated as some of the other facilities. The set up wasn't quite what we wanted. It was ok, just not the best fit for us.

We had a very good tour at Sellwood. The lady who gave the tour was very nice. The staff seemed to know every resident by first name. The facility itself was great. It just wasn't suitable for my loved one. The location was not conducive to getting outdoors at all, and it was in a very busy location. Also the multi-story building would have been confusing to her.

Our Experience

Activities were slow due to covid but are now coming back. It's an adequate community. It's in a good spot of town, handsome on the inside. Sharing a parking lot with a 7-11.
