★★★★★
PositiveThe staff is very nice and caring. Occasionally short handed, particularly on weekends. Residents enjoy the food. They have 3 different room sizes, but there may be a wait for a specific configuration. Overall a good value for the care given, without a lot of bells & whistles that may not be of benefit to older clients.
★★★★★
PositiveComing from a facility that we did not care for, by comparison the staff are so much more friendly and have made the transition process so smooth with great communication, care and compassionate personality. The room is a wonderful space that my mom loves so much, very clean and engaging with activities
★★★★★
CriticalStaff does seem to care for the residents well-being, especially those with dementia. They appear to be short handed at times. Communication between staff & families could be improved regarding doctors appts, hospital visits. Basic activities are available most days but are perhaps underwhelming for someone who's still mentally sharp. Availability of on-site hairstylists and manicures is a plus.
★★★★★
PositiveThe staff was caring and helpful. Facility was clean. I would highly recommend Shangri-La to others looking.
★★★★★
PositiveMoved my brother here following a stroke. His private room is a decent size with room for a recliner , desk, small dresser and side table. The aides make his bed daily and empty the trash. They help him get to the dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He also had a small refrigerator in the bsthroom for cold drinks. There are two common lounge areas for residents to spend time out of their room if they wish. One of the rooms has daily activities led by a very sweet activities director. The food is a set menu…
★★★★★
PositiveOur brother feels at home and safe at Shangri-la. His room is very nice and we made it cozy for him.. It is also the most affordable assisted living we could find in our area. The staff are caring, though overworked and sometimes understandably impatient with residents. It is easy for visitors to come see our brother, which helps his transition away from independent living.
