Removing Mother

Let’s start with the food. It’s not healthy at all. They feed them based on cost not quality or health. My mother ended up in ER due to dehydration. She also has bruises on her arm. I hate I selected this facility for my mom. I wouldn’t suggest placing your loved one here. She’s moving out this month.

Highly recommend !!!

I would give them a 5 on everything except cleanliness. I would give them a 3. Of course when dealing with folks with incontinence. It's difficult to keep up. [name removed] was in multiple facilities o Er the past year. Smyrna was by far the best. Staff and mgmt very caring and attentive to patients. I can't say enough good things about them. It's not a facility that has a lot of amenities, but the room sizes both for individuals or doubles are good size sizes for the persons that are in a memory care state of mind. The staff is Kind and helpful.

Overall would recommend

I think that SV has the right mission and approach. I trust them with my father's care. They need to work on operations, regular care plan meetings, cleanliness, and getting regular care groups set up. They are less expensive than many other places. But they could make small improvements to make $[removed] a month more worth the money.

It takes a Village...."Smyrna Village"

We recently transitioned my Mom from a "Corporate" Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility - to Smyrna Village.... What a breath of fresh air (for my Mom especially ...but for us too!) It's only been a few weeks and we already see a difference in her demeanor, and her appearance! She looks healthier, more calm and content with her surroundings and daily routine. Smyrna Village - Outstanding Place

My Mothers journey was a long one and unfortunately she did not prepare for the last years as well as one might hope. Due to this I had to be very resourceful with care options and still trying to get the best for my mom. Originally this place was owned by another company and to be honest it was subpar. However the current company has done everything outside of replace the walls! Its been a complete 180 from the previous owner and my moms last years were spent in a place that I did not think I would ever be able to…
