My father lives in the assisted living section with his chihuahua and I, as his primary caregiver, couldn't be happier. He is doing well much better here than he was doing at home -- both he and the dog get a lot more exercise and social interaction. He is even doing yoga and other community activities. My mother was actually the first resident of their assisted living room -- unfortunately she passed shortly after arriving. The staff was phenomenally helpful, empathetic, and flexible.
