5 for all - what we like the most about the community is the cleanliness, and how very "present" the staff members are with the residents. Yes, we would recommend Stone Valley Transitional Assisted Living and Memory Care to other families based on the experience so far.

Bad management

This place is worst! I see they are lazy to take care of the people! Room smells bad too! My mom clothes were mixed up! I don’t see management do cares for the people! Do they have a health care background? Or even a licensed? Every time I will visit my mom, they are just sitting and eating snacks! When I am asking a question or health concerns about my loved one, the supervisor is clueless!

Don't trust health team!

I know there are worse places to live. I know there are better ones, and that is why we moved our loved one and wouldn't encourage you to move yours there. My loved one lived there over a year, and I always had control over his medication. Meaning I would take his prescription and pills in/out every time doctor would change anything. If doctor would DC any med, I would pick up the pills. I noticed since around February, the number of pills and days don't match at all. He hasn't been getting the pills. PERIOD. And …

I would say was good. We had a refund coming in and I'm sorry I had to wait five months to receive it.

A Nice Place to Live

I am very impressed with the caregivers and find them loving, patient and truly caring. The facility itself is very nice and well-suited for Dementia residents. The food is very good but no access to snacks/soda for family nor a room for visits. The main lobby has chairs but they are occupied by residents so it is awkward and uncomfortable. Im not sure it is a good value.

Macular degeneration had caused my sister to be blind, and advanced Parkinson's caused her to have gradually increasing short term memory loss. There came a point when home care was no longer adequate nor feasible, and her need for more supervision became apparent. An Assisted Living facility was not enough but she wasn't technically ill so a nursing home wasn't the answer either. What to do? I contacted A Place for Mom and am so glad I did.
