Also the people at Sunrise were very nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to make [Name Removed] comfortable. I would stop in for breakfast and lunch and even dinner. They were happy to have me and my sons when they came by. She was unhappy and started to ignore me food and drink and passed in her sleep with her son and my two boys as well as my daughter in law present. I toured a number of care facilities. The billing is all over the place. It's confusing, we have to track it constantly and ask for corrections every month. The head of the place will tell you in person he's going to do something and never does. Walking in is a positive atmosphere and nice place to live.

This facility is a 0. Do not recommend Sunrise of Vienna. It overpromised and underdelivered. The facility claimed to be an assisted living community with one registered nurse but did nothing more than hand out pills. It advertised skilled nursing care but unable to care for feeding and breathing tubes. My father had a biliary tube installed and was forced to leave within 10 days of moving in. My mother would prefer for the good Lord to take her, so she does not use her call button the way she should — which has resulted in several falls. Because of that, the staff put her in a higher tier of care with more regular checks. They are always upbeat, saying my mom is their favorite resident despite the fact she is pretty grumpy all the time. Like many other facilities, they too have turnover. Usually the ones leaving are the good ones. Overall it is always a mixed bag. Some of the caretakers are amazing ie [name removed] and [name removed]. The overnight shift, not so good. I would also add that the manager of this location never called to even say her condolences.
