The Cottages are also a pet friendly community. With the State-of-the-art Vigil Dementia System with security features throughout The South Cottage, including motion-sensor and wireless access, relatives can feel confident that their loved ones are safe. Community Services and Amenities As a memory care only facility, the property features a wander guard system to make sure residents are secure. They also have a beautician on-site. For those who wish to stay active in their worship, religious services are available. Residents also have monthly wellness monitoring and access to mobile lab and x-ray services to make sure their health is taken care of. Living Arrangements Spacious floor plans with traditional-style crown moldings and paintings make The Cottages at Chandler Creek especially attractive and comfortable for singles or couples. Large windows in each apartment give plenty of natural light. With unique floor plans inspired by Mayo Clinic research, residents are able to live in a smaller, home-like environment with 12 to 16 residents per cottage. Each cottage features a family dining room, living areas, and a sun-room. State Classification The Cottages at Chandler Creek is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
