The very best for my loved one

I moved my aunt to the Oxford grand from an assisted living home in Saint Joseph,. I needed her closer to me and there were some issues at the other home that were undesirable. At the time she moved, she was in assisted living and remained at that level in the Oxford grand for several years. When her dementia progressed enough that she required memory care I immediately moved her into that sector and stayed with the Oxford grand. Next Best Thing to Home!

I'm so glad that The Oxford Grand at Shoal Creek took my aunt back after she broke her pelvis. It was the answer to my prayers!!! Based on the experience we have had we would absolutely recommend this community to other families and have done so already!

Things myself and my family liked about The Oxford Grand that helped us make our decision are.: the room opened up to the living room area, not to a hallway. The smaller nature of Memory Care, meaning there's only 11ish rooms to each side. The staff to resident ratio. Because of the smaller size, I feel that the atmosphere is more family like. We were so impressed when we came to see The Oxford that we were so grateful we were able to pick them for our loved one and so far the experience has worked our beautifully. The staff members are very attention and very friendly. Overall we have been very happy with The Oxford Grand community. There are fairly new residents here, and the staff are pretty good about getting our loved one for meal time and making sure to invite him to different activities they have going on. They have bingo every now and then, live entertainment and ice cream socials. He really enjoys going to the morning exercise classes.
