PositiveI used A Place for Mom to find Phoenix at James Creek and Mom and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the choice. For the 27 months she lived there she was well cared for, enjoyed the amenities and programs, and made her apartment a personal and wonderful home. Management is always engaged and available, and the Wellness Staff are kind, caring, and attentive to everyone's needs. Everyone there told me stories about Mom that proved how well they knew and interacted with her, and I saw it with everyone who lived…

CriticalI moved my mom into The Phoenix at James Creek a few months before COVID. At the time, a gentleman that I spoke with said his mom lived there, told me the food was one of the best things -- and that was one of the main reasons I chose it. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. The food is absolutely terrible. I wouldn't serve some of it to anyone. PositiveThis is a 5 Star facility as far as I am concerned, the staff is top notch. I looked at several facilities and I believe my choice was an excellent one. There are a variety of apartments from studio to 2 bedrooms in size ... And very well maintained. All menus have options available for all meals. The dining room is large and well lit and airy.

Positive[name removed] and team were wonderful to work with. We were unfortunately working in a rushed/condensed timeframe to find a facility for my mom. [name removed] made time on our schedule, gave us multiple options, and made our experience as easy and comfortable as possible.
★★★★★

PositiveWith all of these scores at times some categories were as low as 1 or 2. We developed a very strong working relationship with Director of Nursing and CNAs. When we had issues ( with Care and there were several) they were always addressed and our dissatisfaction was highly validated and support. Turnover is always a problem with staff. A few of the CNAs were excellent and went above & beyond and then others were sub par. Overall at times it felt like they were short staffed for resident care. Mom is no longer livin…
