We offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care services for a complete continuum of care in an upscale, secure setting. Our campus is conveniently located in southeast Corpus Christi and is just a short drive from Oso or Corpus Christi Bay. Community Amenities and Services Rest and relaxation await here at The Viera. With housekeeping and laundry services taken care of, residents can focus on the activities and events that bring them joy. Movie nights, group outings, and arts and crafts classes are among some of the activities you’ll find in our events calendar. Our resort-inspired amenities include an on-site bar, an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, movie theater, fitness center, beauty salon and barber shop, among others. Residents also enjoy three delicious meals a day prepared by our culinary team and served restaurant style beneath chandeliers in our large, community dining room. Guests are always welcome, and room service is available upon request. Our care staff is available around the clock to support a healthy, safe environment and provide attentive non-medical care as needed. Assistance with daily activities, medication management, and incontinence care are among the many services our capable staff provides. Memory care staff have received specialized training to help create a relaxing environment while coordinating activities that meet the unique cognitive and physical needs of memory care residents. Residents and their loved ones can rest easy knowing their loved ones are receiving excellent, personalized care that meets their needs and encourages their independence. Living Arrangements We offer a variety of living arrangements, ranging from studio apartments to duplex-style cottages. Our independent living cottages are perfect for residents who wish to continue living in a residential-style environment without the hassle of homeownership. The cottages have an attached garage, a laundry room that can double as a mudroom, tons of closet space, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an open concept kitchen. The backyard is fully fenced in and offers plenty of space for your four-legged friends to roam! Our independent living apartments come in one-bedroom, one-bedroom deluxe, or two-bedroom options. Much like the cottages, the apartments offer plenty of closet space for storage and a fully equipped kitchen. Two-bedrooms units come with a washer and dryer. All apartment residents enjoy lovely views of the grounds from their patio space. Assisted living and memory care residents have the option of a studio apartment without a kitchenette, which is perfect for those who prefer the freedom of a more minimalist lifestyle. We also offer assisted living residents the option of a one- or two-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. With large windows to let in lots of sunshine, all apartments feature the same modern, stunning craftsmanship and attention to detail that makes our community so inviting. State Classification The Viera Senior Living is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
