The people there genuinely care and do their very best. They are patient, kind and attentive. As for growth areas, they need to do a better job with cleaning and maintenance and with keeping to the posted activity schedule. Sometimes things are posted that never actually happen.

I have a problem with them in that they charged me [removed] for the first month and my husband only lived two weeks, he died on [date removed] last year and entered Viva ( it was Commonwealth then). I was told that I would get a refund for any days that weren't used in case of his death, and I never got a dime. I texted [name removed] several times and he said he would let me know when the check was issued but I never heard back. I called Viva but no one answered, so I left a message but again, they never responde…

My brother is in a unique situation. He had a debilitating stroke several years ago. He's only 55 and tried his best to live independently but his health declined and he couldn't properly take care of himself. Reluctantly we decided he needed to be in assisted living. They kept the place very clean and smelling great. There was always someone near each door monitoring who came and went. Loved the security access at each building. Staff was very friendly and helpful while we were present. They did go out of their way to help us. There was a little lack of office support as we never were emailed or given paperwork after we signed the contract, however they did realize they had withdrawn large amount in error and did return that money per our special instructions related to the est…

For the value for cost - but this is really hard because I think ALL these places are too expensive. We will be out of money in about 4 years, maybe 3, so I have NO idea what we'll do then. I would recommend Viva SL Cockeysville for people who care deeply about their family members and their level of care.
