CriticalMy loved one was there for respite care and wish the staff would have given more incentive to my person who is recovering from a stroke. Instead of maintaining his motor skills he became worse. He informed me that the staff just ignored him.

PositiveThe admin staff are friendly. The communication and training of the direct help is evolving. They are open to holding meetings with residents to improve things just slow on the action of implementing. But overall I feel that my mom is safe and well taken care of.

PositiveThe staff really seem to care about the residents. Recently I took my mom to a dentist appointment. The staff knew she would miss lunch. They saved her a meal, and it was waiting when my mom returned. There is a great variety of activities, from physical, to cognitive, to social. He came from a very difficult domestic situation and Whitney Place has improved his life immensely. The staff are all caring, empathetic, friendly, and willing to help all the time. Positive[name removed] in sales was great to work with and helped close out some issues in the room. She took the time to understand mom's "attitude" and relayed that to the team. She provided info on how to switch to the MD that comes on site, switch to a pharmacy that delivers to the site and laundry service. [name removed] and [name removed], nursing, were great as we transitioned medication over to them. Limited interactions with the aides but always pleasant as I am pleasant to them not knowing if mom is or not.
