Welcome to Andara by Cogir, a relaxing desert retreat located in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. Located on the outskirts of the Tonto National Forest, Andara by Cogir is an assisted living community geared towards residents aged 62 and above. Built in 2009, our community offers numerous perks and modern amenities assuring all your needs are met. We provide personal and medical care services as well as a host of activities and entertainment options to ensure you or your loved ones are safe and secure, and never have a dull day. Our Community Upon arrival you'll be greeted by our friendly concierge, and will immediately notice the attention to detail taken with every aspect of our community. The outdoor grounds include a patio and garden to sit and chat with friends, as well as a relaxing hot tub and a large in-ground swimming pool to cool off in the midday sun. If you'd prefer to stay indoors and out of the heat, you'll find no shortage of options to keep you occupied. Get creative in our arts and crafts center, shoot some pool with friends in the billiards room, stop by the computer room and browse the web, or have a seat in our TV lounge and catch the game or your favorite show. We even have a community bar where residents gather, socialize, and enjoy tasty libations. Living Arrangements At Andara by Cogir we offer numerous choices for living arrangements to suit all needs and budgets. Studio units are available, as well as 1- and 2-bedroom options for residents who would prefer to live with a roommate or partner. We also have wheelchair accessible units which include features such as roll-in showers. Some units include kitchenettes, so residents can prepare meals at home if desired. This includes our walking club, a popular choice for those who prefer to socialize while staying active, and meditative, low-impact physical activities such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and chair yoga - a modified form of yoga practiced in a seated position geared towards individuals with limited mobility. Andara by Cogir residents can participate in mentally-stimulating social activities as well - art classes, cooking classes, bible study, book clubs, and educational lectures are all especially popular. There are also plenty of opportunities to just let loose and have fun. We love to host birthday parties, picnics, and BBQs, as well as trivia and karaoke nights, happy hours, and senior proms. Dining Don't worry about the groceries - Andara by Cogir's staff includes a professional chef to concoct meals for residents throughout the day, including fares to accommodate specific dietary needs.
