Asbury Heights has it all. It is the most comprehensive CCRC facility we have visited over a two year period covering the southeast, mid-Atlantic and Pennsylvania region.Accommodations are top notch, spacious and varied floor plans from independent cottages and apartments to fully staffed, nurse directed 24/7 Personal Care and memory facilities. Good variety in menu options, including two or three main course selections at meals reflect the same attention that is devoted to an activity offering. The staff and resid

While the needs of my loved ones outpace the services Asbury Heights offers, the team was wonderful: kind, empathetic, and supportive. [Name Removed] especially, was just great! Thank you for all you do to care for the aging members of our community.

Upside down

Since the facility was sold by UPMC there has been an overhaul of staff. Frequent hires and fires of employees. Place is not kept clean. Food is not good anymore. Mother is in assisted living and there is only one aid that does a thorough job of showering my mother, the other aids just sit there and look at their phone! There are days the only time staff come in is to give my mother her meds. Response time when call bell is pushed is at least 20 minutes. Administration does not listen or act on your concerns or com

First Year at Asbury

I chose Asbury because it is close to my home, has spacious rooms with tall windows looking out at the nice grounds, a cheery bright dining room, lovely outside areas to sit and enjoy the weather and other residents, and they have benevolent care. Despite this, my mom has had a hard time adjusting because she really wants to live at home. The nurses and caregivers have been very kind to her as well as many of the residents as she makes the adjustment. I enjoy visiting with the other residents when I visit mom. She

A mostly positive experience.

Whenever you place a loved one in a facility there is equal impact on that person and the entire family. Asbury Heights worked to ease as many of our misgivings as possible. The administration staff met with us several times before we made our final decision. We were never pressured into something we did not want or promised anything that they did not supply. We agreed on a plan to get started and worked over time to make everyone in the family comfortable. The staff were well trained and worked well with the peopl

Good food and activities

The head nurse is wonderful. The med techs are nice, but there is a lot of turnover. So they aren't always up to speed on what is going on. The dining staff are very nice. The administration return most calls within a day or two. Call rather than email. Everyone is kind.
