CriticalWe first loved the place and especially found [name removed] extremely helpful. however the lead nurse and her staff did a second review of my brother's decided interview (he was recovering from illness at a hospital in Pa.) and declined to accept him. she promised a mtg with the family to explain but never set such a mtg up, despite repeated/daily requests from family members for two weeks. then Cojir billed the family as though my brother had moved in and was a resident and didn't repond to calls from the family …

PositiveFriendly staff, helpful when pushed. The overall decor was much more modern and updated. The memory care team seemed to be much more actively involved with the residents.
★★★★★
CriticalVery understaffed, so residents had to wait for essential care, like changing soiled clothes. Too much television time. One more point that warrants mentioning. Several of the staff had attitudes of not wanting to be there.

CriticalI had difficulty even getting a tour then when I did a tour our guide was not enthusiastic in the slightest. We were shown a TINY studio that had a window looking into an alley with trash cans….not a selling point. Then our guide showed us a different studio that was about to be moved into! It was furnished with the resident’s bedding, personal belongings, pictures, all ready for their move in and felt like a huge invasion of privacy to have us walk in and look. PositiveDefinitely recommend to others. Beautiful property, everyone was so kind and helpful.

PositiveWe just took a tour of Cogir of Old Town Alexandria this weekend. It’s beautiful. The Director of Sales Chantelle was so helpful and knowledgeable. She gave us so much information on senior living communities. All the staff were so nice. It has easy parking under the building. This is definitely one of our top two choices and we are planning on going back with my mom to take a look.
