PositiveThe staff, particularly the move-in coordinator, carefully explained the facility and the steps for moving in. They were very accommodating to needs during the pre-move in and newly arrived period. A Place for Mom did a great job in determining alternative facilities and coordinating visits, as well as providing post-visit information.

PositiveThe place is beautiful...wonderful services and activities and really nice corner unit. Brittany did a wonderful job showing us around and explaining the amenities and really made the decision easy. She made some really great concessions too which made it even easier.

PositiveGreat place and location. Loved the facility and staff. Broad amenities and events planned. Professional meal preparations. Very accommodating for Preston Herald who wasn't able to come down for meals. Unfortunately, this location did not allow mechanical patient lifts, which Preston required. So he was confined to his bed and not able to take advantage of the facility. As a result this location was not cost effective for our family.

PositiveI would give Cogir West End a 5 star rating. I am very impressed with the staff who are always friendly and helpful. Would especially note [names removed] though I could give many other examples as well. Also i like the number of activities available for residents. I haven't eaten in the dining room but think the menu choices are creative and varied. My brother's apartment is perfect for him and has a living room, one bedroom, a mini kitchen, lots of storage and a large bathroom.

PositiveMy wife & I considered more than a dozen assisted living residences in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland. Several facilities immediately disqualified themselves since they isolate assisted living persons & do NOT allow them to share an apartment with an independent living person.
