Two plus years in, it's like any other memory care facility. The hallway and day area smelled of stale food. My aunt needed private care because the level of attention paid to her was inadequate. Her room was not properly cleaned. So, I would not say that The Landings memory care was any better than another facility. The one thing that stands out is restaurant-quality food. There were some issues in the beginning, but it is getting better. The meals are very good. The move in process was easy. Communication with the family could improve. We picked this community because it allows all the residents to live with dignity. It doesn't look like an assisted living nor memory care. The modern feel makes you feel as though you're living in a hotel. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They treat all residents with respect. There are plenty of activities or clubs to join if you choose. The staff makes all the residents feel seen, and at home.
