Food is good. Staff is mostly friendly and efficient. Apartment is small and arrangement is a little strange, but he gets a discount. It is clean. There are activities daily.

The friendly staff and clean facility made our family feel comfortable leaving our loved one in their care.

I really liked the staff. They can improve on taking time with the patient's appearance a little more. Making sure their hair is brushed every day.

Our family's experience

Overall, we have been very happy with Commonwealth from the time [name removed] (our advisor from A Place for Mom) recommended Commonwealth, [name removed], the sales rep, and most especially [name removed] , the Director. The meals have improved greatly this week since they hired a new chef. I think [name removed] and the staff are working very hard to making this a welcoming space for Seniors. I do wish there would be more outreach to get my Mom involved, but she is an introvert! The exterior is always decorated …

Was there only one day

Mom was sent to the hospital within 24 hours of checking in. And then we were billed over $[removed] for her less than 24 hours residency. What a total nightmare sorting that through. It took us weeks to finally get an accounting that was then completely incorrect even if she had been there longer. I really have nothing more to say.

CSL Williamsburg

Staff great; apartment size better than most; food was terrible; very sanitary; ED not as personable than previous one. Unfortunate that my mother had to leave. The facility wanted her to move to a small apartment in memory care that was not appropriate. Moved her to another facility that accommodated her in assisted living.

Grateful

Commonwealth was a Godsend after [facility name removed] sold to Charter. I had to remove my father from Charter as the care after Covid (and probably during) went downhill. Commonwealth was a wonderful place for my Dad. My dad was never left in his room. He had dementia, was the sweetest man and they would include him everyday, at least in the day room. The activities director was phenomenal, to include the fact that she realized that my dad was a brilliant engineer before his mental decline. He always wanted to …
