About Medlock Gardens… Located in the Atlanta suburb of Decatur, Medlock Gardens is the “Bed and Breakfast” of Senior Living. With its quaint and cozy setting, Medlock Gardens features a three level floor plan with apartments on the first two levels, and a terrace level downstairs ideal for resident activities, physical therapy/home health services, exercise classes, and much more. Come and enjoy the sunroom, the outside patios and porches. The back of the property includes a nice wooded area walking trail ideal for nature strolls and bird watching. Our home-like setting provides a great atmosphere for promoting independence and individuality. We welcome short term respite as well as long-term stays. Our residents receive assistance as needed with medication management, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and activity and socialization based on their individual needs and preferences. Our Chef provides nutritious and wonderful meals in our restaurant style dining room. Tray service to the Resident’s apartments may be arranged upon request. Our suites are spacious and many have a private patio or balcony and tall ceilings. Apartments have a kitchenette, ample closets, and private full bathrooms. Weekly housekeeping and personal laundry services are done by the staff for all residents. Our Activities Department has an active calendar of daily events and many opportunities for residents to go out to lunch, to museums, movies, as well as many entertainment venues here at the community for the residents. We have a visiting dentist as well as a podiatrist, and many home health services for the convenience of our residents and families. The care levels are determined based on the assessment of the potential resident by their primary physician as well as our own in-house nurse; calculated on the time required by the resident care staff for hands-on support to the resident with their activities of daily living. Care Level 1 is Included in Rent--Medication Management! The community van and offers transportation to our residents for medical appointments as well as shopping and other activity events.
