Happy family

Merryvale is a very clean facility. My mom is in the memory side. Everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. I'm very pleased. I most definitely would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one. They do activities with them I believe every day and they have a garden area that they can go sit outside and enjoy the pretty garden area.

Genuine staff

You can tell they care. The nurse calls me immediately if there is an issue with my Aunt. They know our name when we walk in and visit. They offer to feed us if you want to eat lunch there also will cook for free if you have a big gathering of family. You can tell they care. They tell us what our Aunt is doing and not doing.

Merryvale Assisted Living review

It is hard for any assisted living to be perfect, but my mom does feel cared for and she likes the caregivers. All efforts are made to make her feel at home. She enjoys her apartment. The most made complaint is the food needs variety and more healthy choices, but she also understands it is hard to meet everyone's needs and expectations.

The facility is exceeded my expectations. The facility associate that met me with knowledgeable and extremely helpful with answering questions about the facility. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. I was equally impressed with the generous size of the respite and assisted living spaces. I absolutely believe my mother and my siblings would be equally impressed with Merryvale Assisted Living facility.

Our family's experience

It is a good facility. It needs some upgrades. There are frequent fire alarms and there was a fire this year. Everyone is nice and I think they do a good job of monitoring staff and making sure everyone is taken care of properly. The food is good tasting, but too many repeats and the menu is not always accurate so that is frustrating for my parents. They need more activities, but the activity workers are very kind and sweet.

The activities I never saw a lot of activities for the Alzheimer's residence being done. Quality of care the facility I bought my father to take my mom when she came out of the rehab facility not to do the PTO to have hospice come in and let them take over the function they could assist my mother better us not knowing that when you discontinue OTT my mother never got out of the wheelchair and when hospice comes in that's money being put back into the facilities pocket where PTOT the money comes out of the facilitie…
