Montclair care partners balance providing essential care with optimizing privacy and independence. Caring Assistance with Activities of Daily Living. Tucked away on 16 acres of park-like land on a private lake with walking paths, Montclair is a sanctuary within the bustling Atlanta metropolitan area. Montclair’s trained Care Partners are present to help residents perform these tasks safely while still respecting and promoting independence. Tasks include bathing, dressing, medication administration, mobility, and more. Montclair residents receive three meals daily; each is freshly prepared by in-house chefs. The food is truly really good at Montclair!

The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is a full calendar of activities planned for each day. The food has reportedly been good. Residents choose their personal selections for meals. Residents seem to be assigned to a dining table, which can be helpful for initial meetings, but can also feel stifling if bonds are not created there. PositiveCaring and Comfortable Community
My wife and I lived for two months before we had to leave because I required emergency open heart surgery. We enjoyed living here. The food was well-prepared and plentiful. We were also able to participate in many social events in both Montclair and the neighboring Clairmont Place Condos. Montclair is also connected directly to the Dekalb Pathways network. Its grounds are landscaped beautifully around a small lake. It is a caring and comfortable community.

My mother was there for a year and a half. At first everything was fine. Then the Administrator was let go and all the staff left. They used agency staff who are trained but don’t know anything about the residents. The new administrator treats it like a 9-5 job and care is horrible. One immobile resident was dropped and broke her leg. No one on staff reported it. My mother “slid off her chair” while 2 aides were transferring her. The staff in Montclair are always attentive and caring. They take such good care of their residents! While I was staying there, they responded within minutes of me activating the nurse call button. When I had an emergency and needed to go to the hospital, they responded immediately and were extremely helpful to me and the paramedics.

The Montclair recently was certified as an assisted living facility and is under new management. So many previous reviews are now out of date. Over the years I have had friends residing at the Montclair. Often, they were individuals who had lived at [removed] but then needed more assistance than independent living could provide. Positivea lovely community to call home
Montclair is the sweet heart of the Clairmont Place community. Residents receive daily support from caregivers and management staff - the care givers have very sweet individual relationships with the residents and it seems like both parties benefit. The food is very good and the activities are wonderful. We enjoyed being invited for events with our loved one, like the Mother's Day tea.
