Overall positive experience

Overall, my experience with the management was good. The Oaks has recently shut down. I felt like they had too many residents and not enough staff, but even considering that I felt like they served their purpose and it overall was a good experience.

During our visit we really liked the setup, staff and the building layout. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Definitely on our list of our finalists

Severe leadership failures, poor hygiene oversight, and zero corporate follow-through.

Our family’s experience at The Oaks at Charleston Assisted Living was deeply disappointing and, at times, heartbreaking. What stood out most was the extreme lack of leadership and accountability. We raised serious concerns multiple times with the Executive Director and formally requested discussions with corporate leadership. Both my brother and I made direct requests to speak with corporate. Do your research

Choosing assisted living is never easy, and our family selected Oaks of Charleston hoping our mother would receive appropriate support. While many frontline caregivers were kind and compassionate, our overall experience was concerning due to management and oversight issues. Our mother, who has dementia, was mis-evaluated, leading to gaps in care. Oaks at Charleston

I would give them a 5. What we like the most about the community is that our loved one loves the food and the facility itself is very clean. The staff is very caring and patient with our loved one. Yes, we would recommend Oaks at Charleston to other families based on the experience.
