PositiveStaff are incredibly kind, attentive, and really know the residents. The facility is bright and clean. I would say that the front office staff is transitioning right now and not always as quick to respond as one would like but that may get better over time. There's also not a lot of regular communication about monthly events (like a newsletter) or an easy way to connect with a resident by phone unless they have their own on hand but these are things that could be easily addressed. We really appreciate that above al…

CriticalI left with my father feeling sad that people had to live there. Again it's a cheaper alternative to what is in the area but it is not a good facility. It's a cheaper alternative to places in the area but it is not a good place. I was horrified by my experience there and moved my father out of there as soon as I could.

PositiveThe staff has been outstanding, very caring, loving and concerned about helping my brother settle in. They do spoil him which has been a blessing! Two other Memory Care Units we have visited have offered a separate menu each day to order for example, a hamburger, hot dog, or grilled cheese if they didn't care for the lunch or supper each day. They also just hired a new cook so that may also help. Re: activities, my brother only has been at the Oaks since the end of December, so maybe he hasn't been willing to leav…

PositiveDealing with dementia patients has gotta be the hardest job in the world. I think everyone that works there is great and kind and helpful. Big should out to [name removed], he really helped us out a lot when [name removed] moved into the rehab center (she broke her hip) and made it so we didn't have to pay an extra month's rent unnecessarily and [name removed] was also so wonderful and helpful always. The food was honestly trash but I know they have to please the palates of like 40 elderly people and that can not p…

PositiveSpeak frequently with staff. They only want what's best. Really share about your loved one. Remember that they need the knowledge to be the best for your LO. And like any facility-visiting frequently lets them know you're on top of it all. You and the center are a team of caregivers. Your stress is released a good deal but you know them best. They have an amazing staff! I truly care about them all. This isn't a stretch. They also have GREAT monthly events.
Response from the communitySue - Thank you for the kind words and five star review.
