Once Serenity Empire at Stone Mountain becomes your loved one’s home, they’ll be free from the burdens of housekeeping and laundry — we’ve got it taken care of so they can enjoy the newfound freedoms that come with an ideal retirement. In our restaurant-style dining room, we serve three delectable meals daily, and snacks are always available, making it easy to satisfy cravings or fight appetite loss. My Uncle was a total care patient. During my tour and interview with the facility coordinator, I was assured that would not be a problem. Turned out it was a big problem. The staff seemed aggravated every time they had to go to his room to do anything. There were times that they did not even answer his call button. This resulted in me sending an email to the facility coordinator to resolve the matter. They ran out of his medicine a few times and the hospice team had to intervene. Nice at first. Clean. Quiet. If a person is fairly independent, not a bad place. If your loved one requires total care and/or is bed ridden, look somewhere else. Price was doable, still pricy for the amount of care given. Understaffed like most facilities of this nature are. Some of the staff really cares about what they do, others not so much. Now that they have new managers, everything gets 5 stars! The new staff have all been extremely helpful and caring. The value for the money here is great and the main reason that we chose Brookside Stone Mountain. It is very very reasonable in compassion to others. Overall experience was negative for my mom and our family. I would not recommend anyone to the facility. Market a service but don't follow through. Need to sell the property to someone who cares. High turnover in staff. Staff was overworked and under trained. No professionalism what so ever.
