CriticalMy Uncle was a total care patient. During my tour and interview with the facility coordinator, I was assured that would not be a problem. Turned out it was a big problem. The staff seemed aggravated every time they had to go to his room to do anything. There were times that they did not even answer his call button. This resulted in me sending an email to the facility coordinator to resolve the matter. They ran out of his medicine a few times and the hospice team had to intervene. When his condition worsened, I rece…

CriticalNice at first. Clean. Quiet. If a person is fairly independent, not a bad place. If your loved one requires total care and/or is bed ridden, look somewhere else. Price was doable, still pricy for the amount of care given. Understaffed like most facilities of this nature are. Some of the staff really cares about what they do, others not so much. Seemed like some of the staff was miserable there and it showed in the care they provide. Very rushed. Still a nice facility, depending on the care needed. Private rooms are…

PositiveMy spouse had Alzheimer's so he's not able to give an opinion. He has now been a resident for one month whereas I am still evaluating the facility. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Brookside Stone Mountain community to other families.
★★★★★
PositiveWhat we like the most about the Brookside Stone Mountain is the quality of care provided from the director level to the nursing care level which is outstanding. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would definitely recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.
★★★★★
PositiveNow that they have new managers, everything gets 5 stars! The new staff have all been extremely helpful and caring. The value for the money here is great and the main reason that we chose Brookside Stone Mountain. It is very very reasonable in compassion to others. Now with the new management, I would definitely recommend Brookside Stone Mountain to others looking.
★★★★★
CriticalOverall experience was negative for my mom and our family. I would not recommend anyone to the facility. Market a service but don't follow through. Need to sell the property to someone who cares. High turnover in staff. Staff was overworked and under trained. No professionalism what so ever.
